Mistick Construction is proud to share progress on Mosaic Apartments, Pittsburgh’s first affordable housing community designed specifically for LGBTQ+ seniors.
Located at the corner of Forbes and Craft Avenues in Oakland, this 48-unit new construction development will provide safe, inclusive, and affordable housing for adults age 62 and older. Of the total units, 35 will be federally subsidized apartments, ensuring access for those most in need.
The project is being developed by Presbyterian SeniorCare Network in partnership with Affirmative Investments, with design by Rothschild Doyno Collaborative. Mistick Construction is serving as General Contractor.
Mosaic Apartments is currently in the final stages of construction and is now accepting applications. Residents are expected to begin moving in as early as November 1.
The building features striking architectural details. Protruding vertical bump-outs along Forbes Avenue are designed to show different colors depending on the viewing angle — creating a vibrant, dynamic look that reflects the spirit of the community.
Mistick Construction is honored to play a role in bringing this landmark project to life and looks forward to welcoming residents this fall.
