Introducing Mistick's New Logo: 75+ Years of Building Communities

1
Mistick Construction is proud to introduce our updated logo, marking over 75 years of building in Southwestern Pennsylvania and Northeastern Ohio.

While our look has evolved, our mission has remained the same: to deliver thoughtful, high-quality construction that strengthens the communities where we work and serve.

A Legacy Rooted in Craftsmanship
Mistick’s story began in the 1950s with Tom Mistick, Sr., who started the company in home building with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and hands-on construction. That foundation shaped who we are today.

Our success in a competitive regional market has always been tied to that same approach: a deep understanding of construction from the tradesperson’s perspective, and a commitment to getting the details right.

Even as the industry has changed, that mindset has stayed constant: build it well, build it responsibly, and build it with purpose.

A Leadership Legacy That Shapes Our Work
Mistick’s culture has been shaped in many ways over the decades, but one of the most influential figures in that story is Bob Mistick.

Bob has been part of the construction industry for nearly five decades, beginning his career working alongside his father and growing into a leadership role that has helped guide Mistick to where we are today. His experience spans development, construction, and project delivery, but what has had the most lasting impact on the company is his consistent focus on community.

Over the years, Bob helped lead work that emphasized not just building housing, but thinking carefully about how developments fit into the broader fabric of the City of Pittsburgh and beyond: physically and socially. That perspective has remained a core part of Mistick’s identity.

That shows up in a simple but important mindset - we’re not just building projects: we’re building places where people live, grow, and belong. That belief has been reinforced over time through leadership, experience, and a shared understanding that construction carries real responsibility to the communities it serves.

More Than Construction
At Mistick, we often say:
We build more than structures — we create homes designed with intention, crafted with care, and built to provide residents with a sense of pride, comfort, and community.

That belief shows up in every phase of our work, from preconstruction planning through project completion. But more importantly, it shows up in the communities we help bring to life.

We’ve been fortunate to attend ribbon cuttings, walk completed developments, and hear directly from residents about what these homes mean to them. Those moments are a reminder that construction is never just about buildings: it’s about people.

A Commitment to Community Impact
Much of Mistick’s work today is centered on affordable and mixed-income housing, where the goal is not only to build quality housing, but to support long-term community stability and opportunity.

For us, success is not only measured in units delivered or schedules met but in whether the work contributes to stronger neighborhoods and better outcomes for the people who live there.

Our guiding principles remain consistent:
  • Building Quality
  • Building Relationships
  • Building Community
These values influence how we approach every project and every partnership.

Looking Ahead
Our updated logo reflects where we are today: a company with a long history, a strong foundation, and a continued commitment to the communities we serve.

We are grateful to our employees, clients, partners, and residents who have been part of the journey over the past 75+ years.
We’re proud of what we’ve built together and even more excited about what’s ahead.
