Established in 1951, Mistick Construction Company is a leading Pittsburgh-based general contractor. We specialize in wood frame multi-family housing and provide preconstruction and construction services across various markets, including commercial, residential, hospitality, health care, and student housing. Our projects typically range in size from $5 million to over $50 million.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Preconstruction/Estimator Executive.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the preconstruction preparation and strategy of all projects, including:
  • Estimating
  • Scheduling
  • Budgeting
  • Project Conditions
  • Staffing & Productivity
• The successful candidate's responsibilities span a broad spectrum, including but not limited to:
  • Client Satisfaction
  • Project Planning and Preconstruction
  • Cost, Time, and Quality Management
  • Contract Administration
  • Organizational Development and Growth
  • Building and Maintaining the Subcontractor Base

• This position involves working directly with the executive team of the company, as well as project managers and superintendents. You will be a collaborative partner in maintaining relationships with our clients and subcontractors. We require excellent communication skills for this position.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have 10+ years of experience in wood frame construction, estimating, engineering, or architecture.
• Have experience in the multi-family construction industry, preferably also with tax credit housing.
• Have experience in design-build delivery systems.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to drive outcomes with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Have an in-depth understanding of construction trades and building systems, documentation processes, operations, and industry knowledge.
• Have solid budgeting and financial experience.
• Possess strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
• Be detail-oriented with a passion for building knowledge.
