Womancaresm
Center of UPMC Horizon, affiliated with Magee-Womens Hospital,
is a 25,000 square-foot facility in Mercer County offering comprehensive
women's health care
services. Sixty percent of the building houses physician office
suites. A separate entrance leads to UPMC Horizon's outpatient
diagnostic center for general radiology, phlebotomy and EKG services,
as well as stereotactic breast biopsy, bone densitometry and mammography
services. The
Womancaresm Center of UPMC Horizon also has several
educational and counseling rooms and a women's health resource
center.
Mistick
Construction built the Mercer County facility for owner and developer
George/White Properties. In addition to general contracting Mistick
provided design/build services for the project’s mechanical,
electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and modified structural
engineering during the building’s eight-month, $2.1 million
construction.
"Mistick
consistently looked out for our interests," says Bill Horsman,
Director of Engineering & Facility Development for UPMC Horizon.
"They brought to our attention numerous suggestions for saving
money during the project which were greatly appreciated."
