As the name
implies, this project was the rehabilitation of a large, late
nineteenth century school building (the first building designed
specifically as a Junior High School in the state of Pennsylvania).
Mistick converted this vacant school house into 77 marketrate
apartments.
The building
is on a very tight urban site, and had to be staged carefully.
Deliveries had to be scheduled as materials would be used, and
a complex of model units was completed for marketing purposes
only a few months into the construction. Construction of a parking
garage was part of the project.
