Children's
Hospital needed a same-day surgery and outpatient facility in
Pittsburgh's North Hills to serve the area's booming suburban
population. The region's premier Children's health care provider
turned to Mistick to meet its need for quality, cost-effective
construction.
The resulting
$6.7 million Children's Hospital North satellite features 22 examination
rooms, three operating rooms, 13 beds for long-term and short-term
recovery, and rotating space for therapists and doctors. The two-story
building contains 57,000 square feet of space.
Late design
changes to interior and exterior areas were no problem for Mistick's
expert estimating and management staff. These were quickly incorporated
into the construction plans and the project was completed on time
and within budget.
Prominent
features of Children's Hospital North include a twostory lobby
and waiting area for the medical center's pint-sized patients
and their families.
